การเลือกค่า Torque ที่เหมาะสมในการประกอบหน้าแปลนโดยไม่เกิดการรั่วไหล

ในการประกอบหน้าแปลนเพื่อไม่ให้เกิดการรั่วไหลนั้น Fastener (bolt, nut and washer) ถือเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการยึดหน้าแปลนไว้ด้วยแรง clamping force ที่เหมาะสม เพื่อไม่ให้ของแหลวหรือแก๊สที่มีแรงดันภายในท่อหรือหน้าแปลนรั่วไหลออกมาสู่ภายนอกได้ ตัวอย่างสำหรับการเลือก bolt & nut และการคำนวณค่าทอร์คที่เหมาะสมในการประกอบหน้าแปลน Weld neck ขนาด 10 นิ้ว NPS Class 600 RF โดยมีขนาดตามรูป

จากตารางของ Bolt Stress Limit for SA-104 Steel Flanges ด้านบนจะเห็นว่า หน้าแปลนขนาด 10″ Class 600 จะรับค่า Bolt Stress Limit ได้ไม่เกิน 79,000 psi.

จากตารางด้านบนโบลต์ที่เหมาะสมควรเป็น carbon steel bolt A193 B7, B16 หรือ B7M

สมมุติว่าเลือกใช้โบลต์ B7 โบลต์ขนาดเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 1-1/4″ ซึ่งมีต่า Minimum Yield Strength ไม่เกิน 105,000 psi แต่หน้าแปลนรับได้ไม่เกิน 79,000 psi สำหรับน็อตที่ใช้เราจะเลือกน็อตทีมีความแข็งแรงมากกว่าโบล์ตเสมอ ซึ่งจากตารางด้านล่างน็อตที่ใช้ได้จะเป็นเกรด 2H, เกรด 4 หรือ เกรด 7

หลังจากนั้นเราจึงมาพิจารณาค่าของ Gasket ที่ใช้งานในระบบ สมมุติว่าในระบบใช้งานเป็น Spiral Wound Gasket โดยมีทั้งแหวนใน, แหวนนอก และ winding เป็น SS304, Graphite Filler โดยดูจากตารางด้านล่าง ซึ่งค่า bolt stress ที่ใช้ได้จะเท่ากับ 62,000 psi โดยช่องสีเขียวระบุว่าค่านี้คิดไว้ให้ไม่เกินค่า max gasket stress ไว้แล้ว

เมื่อนำมาดูค่าในตารางด้านล่างซึ่งระบุค่าของชนิดหน้าแปลนเป็น SA-105 Steel WNRF, Bolt SA193-B7, Spiral-Wound Gasket with Inner Ring ซึ่งขนาดหน้าแปลน 10″ Class 600 โดยเป็นการขันแบบไม่ทา Lubricant K=0.2 ซึ่งค่าทอร์คที่แนะนำคือ 1,210 ft.lb.

ใน ASME PCC-1 version 2013 เป็นต้นมาระบุให้ใช้ washer เพื่อช่วยลดแรงเสียดทานและป้องกันไม่ให้หน้าแปลนเป็นรอย ซึ่งจะแนะนำเป็น มาตรฐาน ASTM F436 โดยเป็น washer แบบ Through-Hardened Washer. โดยมีค่าความทนทานต่ออุณหภูมิตามตารางด้านล่าง

ความสำคัญของ Lubricant หรือ สารหล่อลื่น ในงาน Bolt Torque

      จากการทดลองโดยการใช้เครื่องมือวัดแรงดึง Bolt ที่เชื่อถือได้ หรือที่เรารู้จักกันในชื่อ Skidmore Bolt Tester (https://www.skidmore-wilhelm.com/collections/bolt-testers)

      การทำงานของ Skidmore Bolt Tester จะมีการทำงานเหมือนเครื่องชั่ง โดยจะมีรูตรงกลางไว้ให้ร้อยโบลต์เข้าไป และมีแผ่นเหล็กรองหัวท้ายพร้อมมีน็อตยึดไว้ แรงจากการขันที่ใส่เข้าไปจะเปลี่ยนเป็นแรงดึงของโบลต์ไปบีบที่เครื่องอ่านแบบ Skidmore

การวัดค่าการสูญเสียจากแรงเสียดทานด้วยเครื่องวัดแรงดึงโบลต์แบบ Skidmore

จาก Youtube VDO เมื่อเราทำการขันโบลต์แบบ DTIs (Direct Tension Indicators) โดยมีค่าแรงดึงที่เหมาะสมที่ 41 kips หรือ 41,000 lbf หรือแรงดึงที่ทำให้เดือยที่ปลายโบลต์ขาด

  1. โบลต์ขนาด 7/8″ ที่เป็นสนิมจะสร้างแรงดึงโบลต์ได้แค่ 17 kips หรือ 17,000 lbf.
  2. โบลต์ขนาด 7/8″ ที่ไม่เป็นสนิมจะสร้างแรงดึงโบลต์ได้ถึง 35 kips หรือ 35,000 lbf.
  3. โบลต์ขนาด 7/8″ ใช้สารหล่อลื่นที่เหมาะสมจะสร้างแรงดึงโบลต์ได้ถึง 48 kips หรือ 48,000 lbf.

จากการทดลองข้างต้นทำให้ทราบว่าโบลต์ขนาดเดียวกัน พื้นผิวที่ต่างกันหรือแรงเสียดทานต่างกันจะสร้างแรงดึงโบลต์ได้ไม่เท่ากันถึงแม้เราจะขันหรือทอร์คด้วยค่าแรงบิดที่เท่ากันก็ตาม

เมื่อเราทำการวัดค่าแรงบิดกับค่าแรงดึงโบลต์ โดยมีการทาสารหล่อลื่นที่แตกต่างกันตามตารางด้านล่าง ค่าที่ได้จะสามารถมาสร้างกราฟเป็นเส้นตรงได้ และจะเห็นว่า การทาสารจารบี (Grease) ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่เราจะใช้สารหล่อลื่นที่เราทราบค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ที่แน่นอนคือ Molykote-1000 จะให้ค่าแรงดึงที่สูงสุด เมื่อเทียบกับการทาน้ำมัน (Oil) หรือการไม่ทาสารหล่อลื่นเลย (Dry)

กราฟแสดงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทอร์คและแคมป์โหลด ของโบลต์ขนาด M12 x 1.75 คลาส 8.8 น็อตเกรด 8 ขันให้แน่นที่ค่าทอร์ค 58 N.m จำนวน10 ครั้ง โดยมีการทาสารหล่อลื่นที่กราฟทางด้านขวาในครั้งแรกเท่านั้น ส่วนด้านซ้ายไม่มีการทาสารหล่อลื่น โดยค่าเฉลี่ยของแคลมป์โหลดเท่ากับ 18.2 kN มีค่าเบี่ยงเบนที่ ± 40.3% ส่วนที่ทาสารหล่อลื่นมีค่าเฉลี่ยแคมป์โหลดเท่ากัน 44.9 kN โดยมีค่าเบี่ยงเบนที่ ± 2.5% เท่านั้น

Torque Sequence ลำดับในการขันทอร์คหน้าแปลน

      ลำดับและขั้นตอนในการขันทอร์คหน้าแปลนมีความสำคัญอย่างไร ในการประกอบหน้าแปลนและข้อต่อที่มีแรงดัน โดยทั่วไปเราจะใช้วิธีการขันน็อตด้วยการทอร์คน็อตเพื่อให้โบล์ตและน็อตดึงหน้าแปลนเข้าหากันด้วยแรงดึงที่เท่ากันเสมอ

      วิธีการที่เราใช้ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นการขันน็อตทีละตัว ซึ่งเราจะเรียกว่าการขันแบบรูปดาว หรือ Star Pattern คือการขันน็อตทีละตัวโดยการขันเป็นลำดับตรงกันข้ามและทำการเพิ่มค่าเพื่อให้ถึงค่าทอร์คที่เรากำหนดโดยทั่วไปคือ รอบแรก 30% ของค่าทอร์คเป้าหมายโดยการการขันแบบรูปดาว รอบที่สอง 60% ของค่าทอร์คเป้าหมายโดยการการขันแบบรูปดาว รอบที่สาม 100% ของค่าทอร์คเป้าหมายโดยการการขันแบบรูปดาว รอบที่สี่ 100% ของค่าทอร์คเป้าหมายโดยการขันแบบวงกลมตามเข็มนาฬิกาให้กลับมาที่น็อตเบอร์ 1 แต่ถ้าน็อตเบอร์ 1 ยังหมุนอยู่ ให้ทำการขันต่อไปจนกว่าจะเจอน็อตที่ไม่หมุน

วิธีการขันเป็นรูปดาว star pattern จุดประสงค์เพื่อต้องการดึงหน้าแปลนเข้าหากันพร้อมกัน และการขันเป็นวงกลมเพื่อต้องการให้โบล์ตทุกตัวบีบหน้าแปลนเข้าหากันด้วยแรงบีบ clamping force ที่เท่ากัน

หลังจากที่เราทำการขันแบบวงกลม circular pattern ในขั้นตอนสุดท้ายเสร็จแล้ว ส่วนใหญ่ที่เราจะทำคือการมาร์กโบล์ตและน็อตโดยการใช้ปากกามากเกอร์ ขีดเป็นตรงตลอดระหว่างหน้าแปลนกับน็อต เพื่อเป็นการคอนเฟิร์มว่าเราได้ทำการข้นทอร์คในขั้นตอนสุดท้ายเสร็จแล้ว และเพื่อง่ายในการตรวจสอบด้วย

หลังจากทำการมาร์กโบลต์แล้วเราควรมีการแขวน Tag ซึ่งจำเป็นที่จะต้องมีการระบุข้อมูลที่จำเป็นใน Tag เช่น Gasket Type, Bolt Type, Lubricant Type, Flange Alignment Condition, Torque Value เพื่อการตรวจสอบ และเป็นข้อมูลอ้างอิงและเก็บข้อมูล ในกรณีที่มีการรั่วไหลเกิดขึ้น หรือเป็นข้อมูลสำหรับการถอดประกอบในการซ่อมบำรุงครั้งถัดไป

ทำไมการฝึกอบรม ECITB MJI จึงสำคัญ

ECITB MJI คืออะไร?

ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) เป็นองค์กรจัดทำมาตรฐานการฝึกอบรมระดับโลกจากอังกฤษ

หลักสูตร MJI (Mechanical Joint Integrity) คือระบบการฝึกอบรมและประเมินผลที่ออกแบบมาเพื่อสร้าง “ความคุ้มค่าและความสามารถ” (Competence) ในการ ถอด, ประกอบ, ตรวจสอบ และขันแน่นข้อต่อเชิงกล (หน้าแปลนและแคลมป์) อย่างปลอดภัยและถูกต้องตามหลักวิศวกรรม
